We are still working with the amazing Chris Carter as our lead guitarist and have been playing regularly at the Celtic Tavern downtown in Denver.  We will be playing about twice a month there and competing in Battle of the Band series at Cervantes in January.

We just finished our new practice space!  We laid down padding and carpet, insulator, sound proofed the walls, got a space heater and put up decorations and furniture.  Along with this and putting together a new budget we should have a new EP March!  I will keep you in the know!

Nothing quite compares to when you play a show and then venue is packed and people are dancing and singing along to the tunes.  I am happy to say that our first show with Chris Carter playing lead guitar was just like this.  The Halloween show at the Celtic Tavern was a great way to start a new beginning.  We saw people laughing and drinking, puking all over, swinging their bodies to attract the opposite sex…or same sex.  One of my favorite parts of the night was when we pulled out “Come Out and Play” by Offspring.

Our next show will be at Moe’s on 11/11/11 opening up for The Bright Light Social Hour from Austin, TX.  Presale tickets are only $5!

Yes it is true…Chris Sawyer decided that he needed to focus on other avenues right now.  We will miss playing with him, but we are happy he is exploring other areas in his life and will wish him well.

With that being said we are on the search for a new lead-guitarist.  For the moment we have the talented and amazing guitarist Chris Carter from Hot Cheeze Soup filling in and learning the P4B set list.  We are not surprise how quickly he is catching up and we are looking forward to having him play a few shows with us until we find someone that can fit the bill.

We are playing at the Celtic (10/29) this Saturday and also we have a huge Moe’s show coming up so I will keep you updated!

Yup…that is right.  We are releasing three new tunes at the Herman’s Hideaway this Friday (Oct 21st).  We have the pleasure of sharing the stage with a few great bands including Whiskey King Coalition…and we still have discounted tickets available.

We are excited to open up for Seismic Event at Bender’s Tavern tomorrow night (Oct 1st.)  Thankfully we have been able to practice a little more consistently and piece together a new cover song that Chris brought to the group.

The way we usually go about bringing cover tunes into the repertoire is each band member gets their pick in this order:

1.) Ross

2.) Breandan

3.) Chris

4.) Kenny

P.S.  I am uploading a new video on our youtube page in just a few minutes of our song “Blues Clues”  that was taken live at the Walnut Room

I’m pretty sure P4B fell in love with Winter Park this weekend.  Saturday we rocked the stage at Ullr’s Tavern after sharing a few drinks with some great peoples at the show. We did some improv tunes that we are going to try to develop more during the next few weeks.  After the show, we went back to the band house they set us up in and chilled with a few people from the show.  Breandan had the great idea of creating a game that was the equivalent of horseshoes and we didn’t stop playing till 8am…yeah we are nerds.

Nonetheless, we are excited to be playing again at Herman’s Hideaway this Friday night (23rd).  Get at us about the discounted tickets.

So there is a change of plans for this weekend.  Saturday Kenny was suppose to sing the National Anthem for the Roller Derby Bout at the 1st Bank Center, but P4B got a last minute show in Winter Park.  Tell your friends that we will be jammin at Ullr’s at 10pm.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Celtic this passed Friday.  The crowd was getting  jacked up and completely hammered.  Yup…there were people puking in the bathroom…good times.  I’m sure we will be scheduling another gig there within the next couple months.

We now have discounted tickets for the Herman’s Hideaway show on Sept.  23rd. Get at us if you are joining in on the festivities.

The downtown crowd of Denver will be witness to greatness….not LeBron James.  We will be playing at the Celtic Tavern on Blake St. right down the street from Coors Stadium.  Chris and Kenny will be starting off with an acoustic jam set and then the full band will be throwing down afterwards.  What’s that you ask?…YES THIS SHOW IS TOTALLY FREE.  If you can’t make it to this one since it was such short notice, we are preparing the Herman’s Hideaway show as we speak, armed with new tunes and overalls.

Chris Sawyer and Kenny Lee Young are working on new material to bring into the mix this week while Breandan McNulty is celebrating his brother’s wedding in Chicago.  Ross MacDonald just got back from Las Vegas (his home town) and rest is needed! We will have quite a bit of down time before our next show, but this will give us a chance to really give you guys something to look forward to at Bender’s Tavern with Seismic Event.
